Qui nous fera voir le bonheur ? | Le Passeur, Paris, 2014

Présentation du livre
This book is the transcription of the exchange between the philosopher Martin Steffens and myself, a dialogue confronting our points of view on happiness, which took place in the magnificent Rouen Cathedral, as part of a "disputatio" as existed in the Middle Ages.
We discuss how a Christian philosopher and a psychiatrist envision the definition of happiness, the means of getting closer to it, and the mistakes to avoid in its pursuit.
Our views and convictions are more complementary than opposed, but still quite different: I hope you will enjoy discovering this confrontation.
Quatrième de couverture
Is it enough to "cultivate" happiness like one cultivates a garden? The question comes from a psalm, which thus challenges God: "Who will show us happiness?"
Does the happiness we all aspire to depend solely on ourselves, or does it result from our acquiescence to a calling? In a rich and fruitful exchange, at the crossroads of psychology, philosophy, and spirituality, Christophe André and Martin Steffens outline possible paths to achieving happiness.
